Recovery Hero: Gabriel Gonzales

My name is Gabriel Gonzales, aka Colorado Cadi. I have been in recovery since June 19th, 2017. Since being in recovery I have gotten married to an amazing woman, I’ve been the best father figure I can possibly be for my step kids, and I’ve gone professional in electric skateboard racing. One of my lowest moments prior to being in recovery was living in a dumpster behind the liquor store, with the only goal in my life being to get the next bottle. Since then I have used my platform as a professional athlete to inspire others in their recovery. I have also put together a program called “Cadi Packs” that serves the homeless community with backpacks filled with essential items.
