Evening of Hope & Remembrance

Join us for the 1st annual Evening of Hope and Healing: Embracing Recovery and Honoring Lives Lost to Substance Use on Friday, August 30th from 5 – 7 pm at The Demonstration Garden at Monument Valley Park!

This heartfelt gathering is dedicated to honoring the cherished lives we’ve lost to substance use, as we unite to create a symbol of enduring love and resilience. Together, we will unveil a memorial quilt that will be displayed across our community. The quilt will serve as a tribute to those we hold dear, and also as a beacon of hope, challenging the stigma associated with substance use disorder.

We welcome you to contribute in various meaningful ways, both during the event and prior to the event.

Honor your loved one by contributing through art, memories, photos, or quotes, and help create a community symbol of love and resilience. Serenity Recovery Connection, in collaboration with Freedom Quilters and Expression Sessions, will be offering multiple opportunities for you to participate in preparing the quilt for the final unveiling during our Evening of Hope and Remembrance ceremony. After the ceremony, The Springs Funeral Services will be displaying the quilt at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery for a month.

If you are not directly impacted but would like to contribute, your generous donations of fabric paint, markers, time, and funds for fabric printing will also be deeply appreciated. Let us come together to celebrate the lives of our loved ones and foster a message of hope and healing.
