Hello, my name is Scott, and I have been in recovery for 6.5 years. During my recovery, I would say my proudest moment was completing my PRCA(Peer Recovery Coaching Academy). It gave me the opportunity to give back to my peers. Before recovery my lowest point was when I was on the run and selling drugs to survive. The constant fear and anxiety led me to not be present and get even further into my addiction. Today I am working with SRC as a peer recovery coach, and this allows me to give back. I am also a house manager for a sober living, which allows me to mentor individuals in early sobriety.
