Recovery Hero – Monica Rascon

My name is Monica Rascon. I am 32 years old, and I am in long-term recovery. I have been abstinent for 22 months. I have struggled with addiction for about half my life. Time and time again, I didn’t know why I kept living in insanity. I kept doing the same thing to eventually hit the same outcome. I’ve finally gotten to a point where I am tired of being tired.

I finally found the support to find myself, love myself, and not be afraid to ask for help. I’ve recently become a part of Serenity Recovery Connection, which has been a huge source of support. I am currently doing my internship at SRC to become a peer recovery coach. I find that sharing my story not only helps other people, it helps me too.

I’m excited to announce that I am ready to fulfill my purpose and to use all my pain to help people see there is more to life. I encourage you to let us help you. Because you are worthy, and we understand.
