Build Your Behavioral Health Workforce

Train Your Staff. Fill Open Roles. Transform Your Organization.
Address workforce shortages, strengthen employee retention, and create career pathways through structured, paid on-the-job learning programs.
Funded by the Colorado Apprenticeship Initiative, the Registered Apprenticeship Program for Peer Recovery and Behavioral Health Professionals combines hands-on experience, professional development, and nationally recognized credentials to prepare skilled professionals for careers in recovery support, behavioral health, and human services.
Whether you’re an employer seeking qualified staff or an individual ready to launch a meaningful career, an apprenticeship provides a proven pathway to workforce success.
HOW IT WORKS
You identify uncertified staff who meet the requirements, enroll them, and have Serenity Recovery Connection and Jordan Peer Recovery train them to become fully credentialed peer recovery specialists. Unlike traditional education programs, apprentices earn a paycheck while developing the skills and competencies needed for certification.
For behavioral health organizations, apprentices work alongside experienced staff while completing a structured learning plan that develops professional competencies in areas such as peer support, recovery coaching, resource navigation, advocacy, communication, ethics, and community engagement. As apprentices progress, they build practical skills, assume greater responsibilities, and work toward nationally recognized U. S. Department of Labor credentials.

IT’S AS EASY AS THIS
- Hire or enroll an employee as an apprentice. Or we can recruit and place candidates.
- Provide paid, supervised work experience as part of their regular job duties.
- Complete structured training and mentorship with Serenity Recovery Connection and Jordan Peer Recovery.
- Track progress and competency development throughout the apprenticeship period.
- Earn nationally recognized credentials upon successful completion.
