Co-Creating Recovery for All

The FOX21 News: “Let’s Talk Mental Health,” media campaign provides a platform to build awareness around mental health and wellbeing, primarily focused on preventative education, collaborative solutions, and sustainable practices. From August 2023 until January 2024, Serenity Recovery Connection participated as a Let’s Talk Mental Health sponsor, through grant funding from Diversus. The focus of our media campaign was to reduce the stigma around substance use disorder.

#NoShame Movement

Close to 110,000 Americans lost their lives to overdoses in 2022. This is the highest number of Americans lost to overdoses ever recorded.  In fact, it is safe to say we all know someone who has been impacted by mental health and/or substance use disorder, but we fail to talk openly about it.

Silence perpetuates the stigma surrounding these disorders.

Join Serenity Recovery Connection in a call to action to help demonstrate nationwide understanding, hope and solidarity by letting people know that there is No Shame in getting help for mental health & addiction by taking the No Shame Pledge.

The No Shame Pledge states: “I understand that addiction is a disease, and I pledge to eliminate the stigma for individuals experiencing it. I commit to learning more about the disease of addiction, the mental health challenges that contribute to it, and to changing the conversation surrounding it.

I will encourage individuals to seek the help and treatment needed to address addiction and mental health challenges by providing a shame-free environment. For individuals in recovery, I pledge to support them through their lifelong journey to a self-directed, safe, productive, and successful life
