My name is Franco and I have been in recovery for 4 years. I am proud to have been able to re-establish a relationship with my daughter, whom I was forced to leave behind when I was incarcerated. She was 14 months when I was locked up and 3 years old when we reconnected. Incarceration has always been a low point in my life. The multiple times I went to prison made me wonder if my life was even worth living. Today, life is different and I am fully engaged in the recovery community. I now enjoy mentoring people who want to learn to live in recovery. Currently I am a peer recovery coach at the Springs Recovery Connection, I facilitate meetings, and try to lead by example.
