My name is Brandi, and my recovery journey began in 2017. My path has not always been linear, but I’m constantly reminded that recovery isn’t about just staying sober, it’s about making your life better every single day. The things that I am most proud of during this journey is graduating from college with a degree in substance abuse counseling and being able to provide my children with an environment in which they can thrive, learn, love, and grow.

Prior to recovery, my lowest point was when I woke up in the hospital on a ventilator after being found unresponsive on my apartment floor.Today, I am of service to my community through my work at SRC, my advocacy efforts to destigmatize addiction, and through outreach efforts to help build better, more understanding communities.
